From the noise of the world to the silence of the island.
How I Arrived
I remember the first time I stepped off the plane in Colombo. It wasn't the heat that struck me, but the smell of rain hitting dry earth. I was a fast-living consultant from London, carrying two phones and a heart that didn't know how to rest.
I came for a two-week holiday. I stayed for three years. Sri Lanka didn't just welcome me; it dismantled me. It taught me that time isn't something to be "spent" or "saved," but something to be inhabited.
"In the village, no one asks 'What do you do?' They ask 'Did you eat?' The difference is where the heart lives."
Lessons from the Soil
From the fishermen in Ahangama, I learned the virtue of waiting. From the tea pluckers in Nuwara Eliya, I learned that even the steepest hills can be climbed with grace and a song. My mission now is simple: to share this grounded energy with a world that has forgotten how to breathe.
